IFP Guidelines
For Co-Chairs: Each IFP community will be co-chaired by 3 people- a business leader, an investment leader and a non-profit leader. Where possible, we will explore a Government leader as well.
For Community Leaders: Each IFP community will have 25-30 community leaders, or IFP members, who will lead the thought leadership and brainstorming about our Impact Future
For Knowledge Partners: Each IFP community will be supported by a Knowledge Partner, a leading research house or consulting firm or think-tank, which will prepare meeting primers, publish minutes and document the “Top 10 impact ideas” annually
Branding Guidelines
For Industry Partners: IFP will collaborate with and strengthen existing industry bodies with our “Idea Bank” that can help unlock private capital for public good
For Sponsors: IFP as a not-for-profit initiative, will seek support from pioneering industry leaders to fund the thought leadership processes and inn turn recognize their generous contribution on its research, website, collateral and convenings
Terms Of Engagement
GENERAL
- The IFP initiative will live for 10 years and all 10 successive communities will be mentioned on the IFP website for posterity. We expect community leaders to continue for multiple years.
- Each community will have 25-30 Impact Leaders and 3 Co-Chairs, one each from Business, Investment & Non-Profit world.
- You will be titled Founding IFP Leader (or Co-Chair) of your Community subject to attending at least 2 of 4 annual meetings.
- Community Leaders attending only 1 meeting will be described as Guest Community Leaders.
- You will be listed as a Co-Author to the Annual Report to be published in 2021, provided you attend at least 3 of the 4 meetings.
- The invitations are not transferable and no one else can attend any IFP Dialogue on your behalf.
- All participants will have an opportunity to choose the day of the meeting from 2-3 options circulated a month or more before the meeting, with months or periods, highlighted in the beginning of the year.
- If community leaders change sectors (not role or jobs), they will be requested to uninvite themselves.
- As this is a public cause, the IFP Dialogues will be broadcasted. Community Leaders will be free to write, speak or reflect about the initiative, giving IFP due credit, in their public interactions.
- The Designated Co-Chairs and/or the Moderator will guide, mentor and manage the proceedings.
- Community Leaders (CL) are requested to identify, research & contribute big & bold impact-focused, investment ideas for India in their sectors.
- All participants, as per their convenience, will be invited to contribute in each meeting, at a designated time, for a set time.
- All ideas generated at the quarterly meetings shall be recorded. Voting or consensus shall decide the top 10 ideas of each community. In case of ties or indecision, the Co-Chairs and Moderator will decide as they deem fit.
- All participants are requested to be on time. We promise to start and end the meeting, on time and dutifully comply with the agenda.
- We appeal to all participants to be candid and speak your mind. Everyone in the meeting is expected to share ideas, ask questions, and contribute to the discussions.
- Please use an ethernet cable rather than WiFi if possible, with good high-speed bandwidth for the meetings. Please do not put the call on “Hold” in case that feature plays background music.
- Aspire Impact Founder & CEO, Amit Bhatia, will be the Moderator of all communities
- Aspire Impact will host the Secretariat of IFP under Amit Bhatia’s leadership
CO-CHAIRs
- Co-chairs have the right and duty to keep the Dialogues on time and on track, ask questions, interrupt speakers, correct facts, or guide discussions to ensure ideal outcomes.
- Co-Chairs are expected to meet for 30-minutes, ahead of each call, to prepare & finalise the agenda.
- Co-Chairs expected to review the annual report of ideas and provide feedback
- Co-Chairs expected to to make themselves available for media interactions
- Finally, Co-Chairs are expected to ensure compliance with ground rules, for example, participants keeping microphones muted when not speaking, or, use of virtual ‘raise hand’ option to indicate when they want to speak
KNOWLEDGE PARTNERs (KPs)
- KPs will be a repository of ideas generated in the meetings. KPs undertake to publish, pre-quarterly meeting primers, post-quarterly meeting notes, and, annually a report of Top 10 Investment Ideas in the sector, ranked as per agreed methodology
- KPs will be acknowledged via their brand visibility (logos) in presentations, on Aspire Impact’s IFP microsite, in the final co-branded report as per protocol, and, on marketing collateral.
INDUSTRY PARTNERs (IPs)
- IPs will help ensure industry-wide awareness of IFP and attract the appropriate leaders to the dialogue, while providing knowledge inputs to IFP KPs
- IPs will be acknowledged via their brand visibility (logos) in presentations, on Aspire Impact’s IFP microsite, in the final co-branded report as per protocol, and, on marketing collateral.
MEDIA PARTNERs (MPs)
- MPs will provide media coverage to the initiative via Editorials, OpEds, Ads, Air Time, etc. in collaboration with Aspire Impact.
- MPs will be acknowledged via their brand visibility (logos) in presentations, on Aspire Impact’s IFP microsite, in the final co-branded report as per protocol, and, on marketing collateral.
CONVENING PARTNERs (CPs)
- CPs will provide conference and event support through speaker spots & panel discussions on Impact Future to IFP Co-Chairs & leaders
- CPs will be acknowledged via their brand visibility (logos) in presentations, on Aspire Impact’s IFP microsite, in the final co-branded report as per protocol, and, on marketing collateral.
FINANCIAL PARTNERs (FPs)
- FPs will help provide financial support via Grants or Sponsorships to fund this initiative & the 2020-21 edition supporters will be called Founding Partners
- FPs will be acknowledged via their brand visibility (logos) in presentations, on Aspire Impact’s IFP microsite, in the final co-branded report as per protocol, and, on marketing collateral.
STRATEGIC PARTNERs (SPs)
- SPs will be special purpose partners (e.g., Central or State Government Ministries, Departments or Autonomous Institutions) who will ensure strategic scalability of the initiative via thought leadership or implementation of ideas
- SPs too will be acknowledged via their brand visibility (logos) in presentations, on Aspire Impact’s IFP microsite, in the final co-branded report as per protocol, and, on marketing collateral.
